# AudioHop > AudioHop (formerly SoundHop) is a free macOS menu bar app that switches the Mac's default audio output and audio input (microphone) in one click. It is made by Wuxi Marvin Technology Co., Ltd. and distributed on the Mac App Store. Key facts: - What it does: lists every audio device macOS can see — built-in speakers, headphones, AirPods and other Bluetooth devices, USB audio interfaces, HDMI / DisplayPort displays, and microphones — and sets the system default output or input when you pick one from the menu bar. - Why use it: switching audio on macOS otherwise means opening System Settings › Sound or the Sound control in Control Center. AudioHop does it from one menu bar click. - Price: free. - Download: https://apps.apple.com/app/audiohop/id6782543035 - Requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later; Universal app for Apple silicon and Intel Macs. - Languages: localized into 40 languages. - Extra options: show each device's connection type (USB, Bluetooth, HDMI, Built-in); optionally move system alert sounds to the same output; launch at login; show only available devices. - Privacy: collects no data, no analytics or tracking, needs no network connection, requests no microphone permission, never records or reads audio content. Runs in the App Sandbox and uses only public Core Audio APIs. - Name history: the app was called SoundHop until July 2026, when it was renamed AudioHop. Same app, same App Store listing (bundle ID com.wuximarvin.SoundHop). - Support: developer@maerwen.com ## Pages - [AudioHop home page](https://soundhop.maerwen.com/): features, interactive demo, FAQ - [Privacy policy](https://soundhop.maerwen.com/privacy): full privacy details - [Mac App Store listing](https://apps.apple.com/app/audiohop/id6782543035) ## Optional - [Wuxi Marvin Technology](https://maerwen.com/): developer website
